Our Signature Buccal Facial & TMJ Release Treatment is a carefully designed therapeutic experience created specifically for individuals who experience jaw tension, clenching, or discomfort associated with TMJ (temporomandibular joint) dysfunction.

This advanced treatment works holistically to relieve muscular tension throughout the upper body while targeting the areas most commonly affected by jaw strain. The experience begins with a deeply relaxing back, neck, and shoulder massage, focusing on releasing tight muscles, reducing postural tension, and encouraging improved circulation to the upper body.

The treatment then progresses to a specialised Buccal Facial Massage, performed both externally and internally within the oral cavity. This advanced technique allows the therapist to access and release tension held within the deeper facial muscles that cannot be reached through traditional facial massage alone. By gently working the muscles responsible for jaw movement, this technique can help relieve tightness, reduce clenching patterns, and promote greater mobility and relaxation in the jaw area.

To further enhance the therapeutic benefits, the treatment also incorporates targeted reflexology (90 minute treatment only), with particular focus on reflex points associated with the TMJ joint, neck, and shoulders. This helps support the body’s natural healing processes while encouraging deeper relaxation throughout the nervous system.

We begin your facial by taking some deep breaths & performing stretches to the neck & shoulders using warm towels to help you relax & unwind followed by a soothing massage of the neck, shoulders & scalp. Next we will do a deep cleanse & exfoliation of the skin using our homemade cleansing balm, sugar scrub & foaming cleanser. We then use hot stones to massage & release fascia to prepare for deeper massage of the TMJ, before moving onto the buccal massage to relieve tension of the jaw followed by cooling ice globes & gua sha to calm the skin. While your cooling face mask is working you will recieve a relaxing hand & foot massage. To finish your treatment we apply skin care products suited to your skin type to leave your skin feeling refreshed & renewed.

Buccal (intra-oral) and TMJ massage is a deep-tissue technique designed to release jaw tension and relax facial muscles. It provides significant therapeutic and aesthetic benefits by manually releasing deep tension in the facial muscles, particularly inside the cheeks and jaw to lift and define the jawline and lower face.
