What do I wear for a massage?
Whatever you feel comfortable in!
Most people undress down to their bottom underwear, but you’ll always be covered by towels and sheets, except for the area being worked on. Prefer to stay more dressed? No problem – we offer treatments like Reiki, Reflexology, and Facials that can be done fully clothed. Our therapists are always happy to chat and make sure you’re 100% comfortable.
I’m not sure if I can have a massage due to a medical condition – what should I do?
That’s totally understandable! We carry out a full medical consultation before any treatment and can offer a telephone consultation ahead of your appointment too. You’re also welcome to check with your doctor beforehand if that brings peace of mind.
I can’t lie on my front – can I still get a massage?
Yes – if there are no contraindications, we can absolutely adapt the treatment. We can work with you seated, lying on your side, or using support pillows to keep you comfortable throughout. A full consultation will help us tailor everything to your needs.
I have a stoma bag – can I get a massage?
Yes, absolutely (provided there are no contraindications). We have many clients with stoma bags and we’re fully prepared with support pillows and personalised adjustments. Your comfort is our priority.
I have sensitive skin – is massage suitable for me?
Yes! We typically use a base oil with essential oils, but if your skin is very sensitive, we can just use the plain base oil with no added ingredients. You’re also welcome to pop in for a patch test beforehand or bring your own oil if you prefer.
I’m nervous about getting a massage – what can I do?
We completely understand – trying something new can be daunting. We’re here to help.
You can:
- Arrange a friendly phone chat with one of our therapists
- Pop in beforehand to meet us and see the space
- Let us know what would help you feel more at ease
Your comfort and care are what matter most to us.
