Please note – we are a really small business, our team having to isolate due to covid financially is not sustainable for us, we are doing our best to stay open. So please respect our rules for coming in for a treatments. For updates please check our covid-19 policy on our website.
With being a close contact service as recommended from our insurance, our team will be wearing surgical masks throughout your treatment. When you come into the shop please wear a face covering when walking though the shop if you forget we can provide one. For the treatment you do not have to wear a face covering whilst face down, once face up when we are working above you we ask for you to wear a face covering – unless we need to work around that area – if you are except please put details on your medical consultation form – this will be emailed out prior to treatments so we can make sure it is safe to perform a treatment.
Due to the 2019-2022 outbreak of the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19, we are taking extra precautions with the intake of each client, health history review, as well as sanitation and disinfecting practices.

If you or any of your household have any Symptoms/have COVID-19 please re arrange your appointment – you will not be charged.
I agree to the following: I understand the above and affirm that I, as well as all household members, do not currently have, nor have experienced the symptoms listed above within the last 10 days.
I affirm that I have not knowingly been exposed to anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 5 days.
I understand that this business and my massage therapist cannot be held liable for any exposure to the virus or any other contagion caused by misinformation on this form or the health history provided by each client.
By signing below I agree to each above statement and release the massage therapist and business from any and all liability for the unintentional exposure or harm due to COVID-19.
I understand all off the above applies to every visit to Sammy Anne’s from the date this form is signed.
Your massage therapist and all employees of this facility agree that they abide by these same standards and affirm the same. We also affirm that we have improved and expanded our sanitation protocols to more thoroughly fight the spread of COVID-19 and other communicable conditions.
If any of our staff feel ill or have symptoms of COVlD-19, they will self-isolate immediately and not come into the salon. This may mean that we must cancel your appointment at short notice. we appreciate that this may be inconvenient, but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled, you will be able to re-book again for the next available appointment that suits you.
If you or anyone you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of COVlD-19 – please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE SALON FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. We have amended our booking terms and conditions and you will not be charged for any appointments missed due to COVID-19. You will not lose your deposit or voucher, so please re-book after appropriate isolation time. We also have a COVlD-19 consultation form that MUST be completed and signed before coming into the salon.
Visiting the Salon
For your safety and to maintain social distancing, we ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible. Please do not turn up early for appointments as this may mean that you come into contact with other clients who are just leaving. Please wait outside (2 metre distance from door) until one of the therapists lets you in. Pease attend your appointment alone, as the waiting area will not be available to sit in.
We have added some extra measures to make sure we are doing everything possible to make Sammy Anne’s as safe as possible.
You will have access to hand sanitiser or soap and water to wash your hands as soon as you enter the salon. We will be asking you to use this when you enter and when you leave the salon.
Temperature gun – we will checking our own temperature and our customers temperature when they arrive if our/your temperature is 38°C or above we will not to be able to carry out treatments and will re arrange to a later date – this is for your safety and our own.
We will be asking clients to wear a face covering for/during their appointment/treatment when face up, please feel free to bring your own mask/covering, or we can provide a disposable surgical mask (you can take home with you OR we can recycle in the shop as part of the #reworked project) –
Please do not be surprised or upset (or scared, we may look ridiculous!) our staff will be using personal protective equipment (PPE) during your visit and during your treatment. This may include facemasks / face visors / goggles where appropriate.
We have increased the frequency of cleaning in the salon including making sure that common surfaces, toilets door handles etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products between each client and a deep clean will also be carried out at the end of each day.
We have replaced our fabric tub chairs with wipeable chairs. The massage couches will still be lovely and snug but will be set up differently so we can disinfect thoroughly between treatments.
We have Blueair purifiers in each room which will help keep the air circulated and clean. (They are silent they will not disturb your treatment!)
We are now paper free- we will be asking you to fill out a consultation form before your appointment. Eliminating paper removes the risk of cross contamination and is better for the environment.
All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised, in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety.
Wherever possible we will utilise environmentally, friendly, single use items during a treatment which will be disposed of safely after use to protect you from cross infection.
We can confirm that the laundering of salon towels and uniforms is a priority we assure you that all salon laundry is washed at 60°C and disposable couch roll will be used where necessary.
All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment area between each client.
Using the toilet
If you want to use the toilet, please check with the therapist so we can make sure the route is clear so we can maintain social distancing.
We have implemented extra cleaning measures for the toilet. If you use the toilet there will be a poster on the wall outlining cleaning instructions. We ask that you please follow these. Our staff will also be cleaning the bathroom area after every use.
We have carried out a risk assessment on all treatments and we are confident that we can continue to provide our treatments safely. We just ask if we are doing any treatments on the face (eg facial) if you could do a Lateral Flo before your appointment – these can be collected for free from most local pharmacies.
During your treatment
Our staff understand the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that we wash our hands in according with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment and at the end.
We will strive to make your treatment as safe, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatments, please let us know and we will do what we can to satisfy you.
After the treatment
We will be taking payments/making bookings in the treatment room you are in, so we can maintain social distancing from others in the shop. Once finished the treatment the therapist will open all the doors so you can leave the salon again maintaining social distancing from others. We then have lots of time between appointments to make sure we can disinfect all the treatment areas thoroughly.
The above procedures have been implemented for your safety and our team’s safety. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend as necessary.
